Greetings CPA Providers,

In response to Child Welfare Services County Letter No. 2023-01 that was sent out on June 26, 2023, the length of time foster homes is approved, and the frequency in which re-evaluations are completed was changed to 24 months.  In response to this policy change, foster home approval letters are required to be updated to reflect the new approval end date.  Please note that foster homes that are currently out of compliance due to an overdue re-evaluation that was due prior to June 30, 2023; the re-evaluation must be completed and upon completion of the overdue re-evaluation, the new approval terms will be 24 months. We are asking that CPA providers submit any overdue re-evaluations as soon as possible.  All homes must be fully approved, in compliance and have approval letters that reflect the new approval terms by October 15, 2023.  The updated approval letters should be maintained in your foster home records and available to provide to the Office of Provider Management (OPM) upon request.
