Dear Providers:
Georgia Families 360°SM will host a series of events during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week (Sept. 5 – 11). As you know, being a kid or teen isn’t easy. There are personal, social and school pressures every day. Handling these changes can be hard. Kids and teens who are also dealing with mental illness are more likely to have a tough time and may even have thoughts of taking their own lives. How can you support a child in such a crisis?
Join us for sessions with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and affected youth. Get information about warning signs, resources, and awareness events.
NAMI's Ending the Silence presentation on September 7th is appropriate for transitional age youth, caregivers, and case managers. Learn more and register here.
For more information on all events, download the schedule.
Thank you.
