I am happy to announce that you're invited to the Georgia EmpowerMEnt 2021 Semi Annual Statewide Session Conference. Georgia EmpowerMEnt is a youth-led advocacy group that helps young people currently in foster care and formerly in care advocate for themselves and provides resources to meet them where they are. This email contains very important information regarding arrival, parking, and registration.
First and Foremost, welcome all — we are so excited to have you join us on October 2, 2021 @ Albany State University (West Campus) from 8:30am-4:30pm. Please arrive at the Student Center in the back of the school; parking will be available. Registration will be held in the lobby along with face mask and sanitizer. Breakfast will be available from 7:30am-8:30am. Please feel free to grab a bite after registration. During the conference there will be pictures and possibly videos taken but youth's faces will not be shown unless the photo/video consent form below is completed. Everyone will be given a welcome package including full details on the day's activities. This year we are excited to have 4 Workshops, 2-3 Booths, 1 Keynote Speaker, and more.
