E-Blast: Youth Training Opportunity - Building Resilience & Coping

Mental Health America of Georgia's Leadership Empowerment and Access Program (LEAP) is a training program designed to improve skills in professional development, self-advocacy, leadership and personal resiliency for youth and young adults (ages 16-26) who are managing or at risk of developing behavioral health conditions. This training program offers education on topics including mental health and wellness, goal setting, character development, financial literacy, employment acquisition and maintenance. Young people have an opportunity to engage with our Program Specialist who will teach the tools and skills to gain self-empowerment, personal growth, and life-skills on their journey to achieve desired vocational goals.

Life can be difficult sometimes and the way that we react to life’s stressors can have a positive or negative effect on our wellbeing. Being equipped with effective coping skills can boost our resiliency and reduce stress. Join us for our Building Resilience and Coping workshop to understand the relationship between our mental health and ability to use coping skills, identify what coping strategies are best for you, and create a plan that will support you in reducing stress and promote positive daily activities.
