Teen Dating Violence and Marginalized Youth Populations
Tuesday, February 16, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
In honor of National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month, we are teaming up with the Partnership Against Domestic Violence’s Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program to present “Teen Dating Violence and Marginalized Youth Populations.” Topics of discussion include:

  • A brief overview of teen dating violence (i.e. behaviors of abuse, understanding power and control, red flags).
  • Defining intersectionality and why it is important to have an intersectional perspective when working with teen survivors.
  • Understanding risk factors and special considerations in working with the following youth populations in a trauma-informed and survivor-centered way: LGBTQ+, male survivor, persons with disabilities and immigrant/undocumented.

Thank you.
